Why thank you! [You're really terribly sweet, you know. She gestures eagerly for him to sit, then points. That tray you were holding had two teapots on it.]
Now, I didn't have time to make more than this, but lets see...one is your basic, simplistic and ever so classic Earl Grey, whose flavor and smell that derives from the addition of oil from the rind of the bergamot orange. You might like it, but if you don't there's always this- [She lifts the lid and sniffs.]
This one is more of a fruit tea, I personally prefer the forme,r but this is rather tasty, too.
[Kevas takes a seat and looks at both tea pots. He has no idea what he's doing when it comes to this. The only tea he's ever had was thistle tea and that takes...an acquired taste.]
T'ink I'll try da ladymon's favrite and go from dere.
[The smile crawls slowly across her face as she watches him make his decision. In a fluid motiom, she picks up the tea pot and tilts it to pour the contents into a cup, then she nudges the full cup in his direction and pours herself one.]
There you are - now some people do add a bit of sugar, I personally don't like a lot added but I find a cube or two isn't so overwhelming.
Splendid! I am so glad you like it - it's really one of my very favorites. It's really become all the rage, and is named after the second Earl Grey (Charles, I think his name was), the British Prime Minister back in the oh, the thirties, I'd think - I sometimes can't keep my history straight, it seems.
That is an excellent way to look at things, you know - this is only temporary, and while I do admit that I miss my Hatter very much, it's really probably best that he went home, so that he can help Mirana with getting Underland back on its feet. The Red Queens reign was terribly oppressive and violent, you know - why, just to get into the castle I had to cross a moat and jump from decapitated head to decapitated head!
Why, it's the most curious of all curious places! I had never seen anything like it, and even though this boat itself has quite the array of oddities, I still rather think that Underland takes first place in the curious department. Talking flowers, the Bandersnath oh! And of course, the rabbit in a waistcoat (Nivens, that's his name) who had cake that makes you grow and drink that makes you small - why, I can honestly say that had I not visited Underland, I might never have been stuffed into a teapot or towered over anyone else, period. It's a marvelous place Kevas, and it's beautiful too - even during the Red Queen's reign it was still such a sight to see.
